Referrals
Our Befriending Service takes referrals from Short Breaks at Nottinghamshire County Council, and so our cases are located throughout Nottingham County (see content on Flexible Short Breaks and Disabled Children’s Access to Childcare section for more information).
Feedback
The Befriending team is committed to providing an outstanding service to our young people. This positive impact has been reflected through the feedback we have received from both parents and the Befriendees themselves. We received an average of 9.5 out of 10 from parents and carers with three-quarters giving us 10/10 (‘Outstanding’). 80% of the children and young people indicated that they ‘Love’ their befriending support, with an average score of 2.8 out of 3.
When we operate
Our befriending sessions can take place weekdays after school hours, weekends and also during school holidays. Our term-time sessions typically take place weekly for 2-3 hours or 3-4 hours bi-weekly. School holiday sessions can be longer and the working hours can be more flexible to the families needs.
