Are the Pyramids one of the wonders of the world?

Citizenship – KS3 – the operation of Parliment, including voting and elections, also the role of political parties

Geography – Human geography – Egypt past and present. How has the culture changed? Resources, trade links etc.

Computing – KS2 – design, write and debug programs that accomplish specific goals, including controlling or simulating physical systems: solve problems by decomposing them into smaller parts.

KS3 – design, use and evaluate computational abstractions that model the state and behavior of real-world problems and physical systems.

Literacy –  Non fiction – Instructions – Journalistic writing

DT – Making large structures – shapes for stability. Prep for the big lunch or National Picnic week (12th  or 18th June) or the great REAL bake off.

RE – Muslim festival of Ramadan

PE – Swimming and individual sports

Music – Did the Ancient Egyptians have musical instruments?

Numeracy – Number at own level, 2d and 3d shapes, time

History – KS2 – the achievements of the earliest civilizations, an overview of where and when the first civilizations appeared and an in depth study of Ancient Egypt
